Google has rolled out its Core and Spam update for March 2024

There have been some significant updates to Google's search ranking algorithms recently. There are reports of a core update and a spam update that were rolled out in March 2024.

According to some sources, the core update was first observed on March 8th and 9th, with some possible recoveries or fluctuations on March 12th.

However, there are now signs of further ranking volatility that could be related to both updates, particularly as of Friday, March 15th. It is worth noting that there were a significant number of manual actions released about nine days ago which could be contributing to the recent changes in search rankings.

Google has mentioned that the core update will involve multiple systems being updated throughout the rollout, so it's possible that another system is currently being updated. These observations are based on third-party rank-tracking tools and discussions within the SEO community.
